COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Rifle 1 is the first iteration in our Modern Considerations curriculum. It is a foundational course that establishes the mindset behind the responsibility of rifle applications and the considerations of engagement. We have collected this information from instructors with both vast military experience and some of the sharpest competitive shooters.

PRE-REQUISITES:

Basic understanding of modern semi-automatic rifle, a positive mindset and the capacity to be coachable.

TOPICS COVERED:

• 4 rules of firearm safety
• Sling considerations
• Fundamentals of marksmanship
• Zero-checks
• Height over bore overview
• Reloading
• Speed vs accuracy
• Multiple threat engagements
• Processing and prioritizing information
• Introduction to positional shooting
• Declaration of intent
• Clearing malfunctions

GEAR REQUIREMENTS:

We pride ourselves in being a resource to our community. To that end, we can provide the following required gear if needed:

• Modern semi-automatic rifle
• Proper range clothing
• A sturdy belt
• 2 Magazine pouches
• Modern semi automatic rifle
• 3 magazines
• Eye protection
• Ear protection
• 150 rounds
