Advanced level rifle training. In this course we will challenge fundamentals that should already be established. We will run drills for speed, accuracy at distance and proficiency in movement as well as stage planning. Rifle 1 is a pre-requisite.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Rifle Training 1 is the first iteration in our Modern Considerations curriculum. It is a foundational course that establishes the mindset behind the responsibility of rifle applications and the considerations of engagement. We have collected this information from instructors with both vast military experience and some of the sharpest competitive shooters.

PREREQUISITES:

Basic understanding of modern semi-automatic rifle, a positive mindset and the capacity to be coachable.

  • 4 rules of firearm safety
  • Clearing malfunctions
  • Declaration of intent
  • Fundamentals of marksmanship
  • Height over bore overview
  • Introduction to positional shooting
  • Multiple threat engagements
  • Processing and prioritizing information
  • Reloading
  • Sling considerations
  • Speed vs accuracy
  • Zero-checks

GEAR REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 magazine pouches
  • 3 magazines
  • 150 rounds
  • Ear protection
  • Eye protection
  • Modern semi-automatic rifle
  • Proper range clothing
  • Sturdy belt

All payments are considered donations and are non refundable within 72 hrs of the course. Failure to appear with proper gear will result in a disqualification for the course, you will have to purchase another seat at a later date. Ammo is available on site for the purpose of exercising the course. The purchase of ammo is separate from the cost of the course. If you do not have an FID you are not legally allowed to leave the site with ammo and any and all ammo that is not used will be considered a donation.
